DO DHAM Yatra to Kedarnath & Badrinath

Rs./Person

The Do Dham Yatra is one of the most spiritually significant pilgrimages in India, combining two of Hinduism's holiest shrines — Kedarnath and Badrinath — set amidst the majestic Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. 'Do' means two, and 'Dham' refers to a divine abode, making this a twin-shrine yatra that holds deep religious meaning for millions of devotees each year. Kedarnath, perched at an altitude of 3,583 metres above sea level, is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, while Badrinath, situated at 3,300 metres, is the holy abode of Lord Vishnu and one of the four Char Dham sites. Together, they represent the two supreme forces of creation and dissolution in Hindu philosophy. A Do Dham tour package from Dehradun covers the complete journey across mountain highways, alpine forests, and sacred river valleys — including stopovers at Yamunotri and Gangotri en route — offering pilgrims a spiritually enriching and scenically breathtaking experience. The yatra season opens in May on auspicious muhurta dates and closes in November before the winter snowfall seals the Himalayan passes. Whether you are a first-time devotee or a seasoned yatri, a well-structured Do Dham package ensures every aspect of this sacred journey — from registration and transport to accommodation and darshan — is seamlessly taken care of.

Tour Faq

The Do Dham Yatra refers to the pilgrimage to two of Uttarakhand's four Char Dham shrines — Kedarnath and Badrinath. It is ideal for pilgrims who want a deeply fulfilling spiritual experience but have limited time to complete the full Chardham Yatra. The route typically follows Kedarnath first and then Badrinath, moving east across the Garhwal range
A Do Dham package from Dehradun typically takes 6 to 11 days depending on your itinerary. The standard Do Dham tour (Kedarnath + Badrinath only) takes about 6 to 7 days. Extended packages that also include Yamunotri and Gangotri en route span 10 to 12 days. Our recommended 10-night / 11-day package offers the most comfortable pacing with sufficient rest, acclimatisation, and unhurried darshan time at each dham.
The Chardham Yatra covers all four sacred shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The Do Dham Yatra covers only two — most commonly Kedarnath and Badrinath, which are considered the most spiritually powerful of the four dhams. Do Dham is ideal for time-constrained pilgrims, elderly devotees, or those undertaking their first high-altitude yatra.
Yes. Helicopter services operate from Phata, Guptkashi, Agastyamuni, and Sirsi helipads to the Kedarnath helipad, and from Badrinath's nearby Sahstradhara helipad. Our Do Dham helicopter packages include air transfers for both dhams, cutting travel time significantly. Helicopter slots should be booked at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance during peak season
The optimal window is May to June (pre-monsoon) and mid-September to October (post-monsoon). The monsoon months of July and August carry landslide and road-closure risks in the Garhwal Himalayas. October offers crystal-clear skies, lower crowds, and stunning views of snow-draped peaks — making it the preferred month for many seasoned pilgrims.
